Pros and cons
- 3840x2160 at 165Hz on a 31.5" OLED with a quoted 0.03ms response, so motion is very clean at about $700
- Two HDMI 2.1 ports let PS5 and Xbox run 4K at up to 120Hz, with a DisplayPort 1.4 for a PC
- About 1,000 nits peak HDR, 99% DCI-P3 and Dolby Vision, with a 3-year warranty that covers burn-in
- Flat 16:9 gives less wraparound feel than an ultrawide or a triple setup
- Driving 4K at high frame rates needs a strong GPU, which adds cost to a first PC rig
- Reviews note limited stand adjustment and a modest port selection; DisplayHDR True Black 400 is a lower tier than the 1,000nit peak suggests
Watch out: Dell lists a 'tandem WOLED' panel, not QD-OLED, and consoles top out at 4K120, not the full 165Hz; a 4K screen also costs a lot of GPU performance in sims.
What the AW3226Q works with
- Works with PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC.
- Consoles drive a single screen; a triple setup needs a PC.
