Pros and cons

  • 25 Nm continuous and 33 Nm peak is the same class as the $1,599 Simucube 3 Pro, at $1,199.99
  • Works with the whole Fanatec lineup: QR2 wheels, pedals, ClubSport shifters and handbrake, via CAN and dedicated ports
  • Passive cooling with no fan, and a 10 cm shaft extension in the box so a monitor can sit closer
  • No PlayStation support, so it does not suit PS5 owners
  • Sold as a base only: a wheel and pedals add several hundred dollars
  • Early firmware drew complaints of filtered, dull FFB, and owners still disagree after the September 2026 update

Watch out: It does not work on PlayStation. On Xbox it needs a Fanatec wheel that is Xbox-licensed. Update the firmware before judging the force feedback.

What the Podium DD works with

  • Works on Xbox Series and PC. On Xbox it needs an Xbox-licensed wheel.
  • Sold as a base only: you also need a wheel and pedals.
  • Wheels attach with the Fanatec QR.
  • Pedals plug into the base, which is what lets them work on console.
